Our History
In 1974, Metro Supply Chain opened its doors as a single 100,000-square-foot warehouse in Montreal. Today, we are the largest privately-owned supply chain solutions company in Canada, offering everything from fulfillment, contract packing, technical, transportation and supply chain consulting solutions.
Managing more than 19 million square feet in over 175 sites across North America and the United Kingdom with a team of 9,000, our scale, wide capabilities and entrepreneurial structure allow us to meet our customers’ most complex needs.
Our leadership
Highly entrepreneurial, Chiko is focused on advancing Metro Supply Chain’s position as a leading end-to-end supply chain solutions company through organic growth and strategic acquisitions that offer greater opportunities for customers. He is also Chairman of LDC Logistics Development Corporation, a real estate, development and investment company. Chiko was named a Supply Chain Canada Fellow in 2021.
Martin has 40+ years of experience, including 16 years with Metro Supply Chain, in logistics, supply chain management and wholesaling. He’s held several senior leadership roles in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including Managing Director, UK for Tibbett & Britten Group and Managing Director Integration following the company’s acquisition by DHL Supply Chain.
Chris has worked in supply chain and third-party logistics operations for 25 years, with experience managing businesses across a wide range of industries and services. Prior to joining Metro Supply Chain, Chris was Managing Director and Executive Team Member at Wincanton Plc in the UK. He holds a degree in International Transport from Cardiff University and an MBA from The University of Warwick.
Mathieu is a proven finance business partner with long-standing experience delivering value in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. Prior to joining Metro Supply Chain, Mathieu was Vice President of Finance for Alimentation Couche-Tard, a leader in the convenience store industry. He began his finance career at Deloitte as Audit Director.
Murray has 35+ years of direct operational experience, including 16 years with Metro Supply Chain, with both in-house retail logistics and third-party logistics. Previously, he served as Head of Exel UK operations for Tesco, Managing Director of Consumer Logistics for Tibbett & Britten UK, and led the project management office for Tibbett & Britten Europe.
