Metro Supply Chain Group Inc. (“Metro”) today announced the launch of “Metro Logistique à Domicile”, a service that provides efficient home delivery of appliances and other large or heavy purchases. From centres in Montreal and Quebec City, Metro Logistique à Domicile will serve the delivery needs of appliance and home furnishings retailers (including Rona) throughout Quebec and into Ottawa.
Metro Logistique à Domicile is the Quebec region installment of the company’s new “Metro To Home” label, which CEO Chiko Nanji describes as a set of services that leverage logistics infrastructure and technology to solve common last-mile delivery problems.
“Delivery to home is an increasingly important part of the retail experience," says Metro Group President, Martin Graham. “We’re in a position to really innovate in this area and offer our customers solutions that help to build and sustain loyalty.”
