Customer Solutions Analyst / Industrial Engineer

The Customer Solutions Analyst is responsible for delivering leading warehouse designs to support Business Development activities and existing client operations. Solutions range from facility planning, network design, transportation planning and routing & scheduling. You will be heavily involved in new business pursuits and the costing, project management, equipment specifications, operational and physical warehouse setup involved in delivering your designs. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills required. The ability to work with people at all levels within the organization is essential


  • Develop creative and innovative logistics solutions for a wide range of industries
  • Work with Business Development, Operational teams and the customer to understand design requirements, constraints and explore new ideas that result in the necessary level of information for solid engineering design
  • Evolve tools (solution sets, benchmarking, application portfolio, methodologies, etc) to meet business demands and reduce the work effort required to prepare new business solutions and continuous improvement projects
  • Provide high degree of customer service to Business Development, Operational teams and our Customers by clearly understanding various requirements, evaluating and defining engineering approach, setting clear expectations and delivering on commitments
  • Lead continuous improvement programs with Operational teams to retain business and increase profitability. Ensure continuous improvement successes are documented in appropriate tools, shared across businesses and are incorporated into new business designs
  • Mastered the ability to analyze data, write reports that articulate conceptual ideas in a clear and meaning full way and has the ability to present ideas that move others to make action
  • Lead work measurement programs, using MOST, work sampling and LMS to develop labour standards and monitor labour efficiencies
  • Provide project management support during the implementation of projects and initiatives
  • Maintain currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed. Maintains state-of-the-art technical knowledge in area of specialization to provide leadership to the company and the markets it serves
  • Evolve the team processes and methodologies to continuously improve solutions and support to the business and external customers.
  • Develop team members to ensure accurate and competitive solutions are delivered. Incorporate new business trends by staying up to date on leading industry practices.
  • Ensure contribution to increased profitability through new business signings, business retention or implemented improvement projects.


  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, or similar, and has a minimum of five years of experience in distribution industry. .
  • Solid understanding of supply chain optimization principles through work experience and technical solutions knowledge in: Facility Planning, Routing & Scheduling, Network Design and Transportation. .
  • Experience working in Logistics or Supply Chain environments


  • Excellent communication skill in both written and oral.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the United States
  • Ability to create positive relationships and partnership internally and externally
  • Coordination of resources and workload planning to effectively manage multiple projects in a time constrained environment.
  • Work with various teams and sister companies to ensure maximum utilization of solution/engineering resources and skill sets throughout the organization.
  • Seek input and ideas from customers/stakeholders and develop opportunities to ensure we take advantage of all synergies.
  • Utilize technical skills/knowledge/experience to lead the development of department tools/models and analysis standards.
